To start with, they watched a Snake's Alive presentation and learned alot about Georgia's native snakes. After the show they had a chance to get some hands on experience with some of the stars of the show. I wish you all could have seen little Joseph's face; he was so afraid but so excited at the same time. He wanted to hold one of the snakes so bad, and he finally worked up enough bravery to do it; it was awesome. Jeremiah and Jacob both took turns holding several different snakes. These boys love anything to do with snakes, frogs, and lizards.
Next, we headed over to the target range where Jeremiah and Jacob took turns with the BB guns. They both did great. Jeremiah has bragging rights for now after hitting the bulls eye with the open-sighted BB gun at 20 yards. We headed home after the BB gun shoot since the 100 degree heat was tough on all of us. The boys went to Grandma's to swim and I (Jeremy) fired up my Papa's old tractor.
It's time to start working down on the river to get things ready for hunting season. There is lots to do and not much time to get it done, hard to believe fall is just around the corner....
